Michelle Renaud.

Michelle is an exercise physiologist and health educator with over 25 years of experience in the field of community wellness. She is the founder of Urban Solace which provides low and no-cost programs designed to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors within the metro-Detroit area.

In addition to her role at Urban Solace, Michelle serves as adjunct faculty at Eastern Michigan University in the Health Promotion and Human Performance department. She has taught courses in sport psychology, nutrition, heart health, yoga theory and practice, mechanics of recreational running, family health, and fitness and wellness across the lifespan.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine and a Master of Science in Community Health. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Division of Kinesiology, Health, & Sport Studies at Wayne State University.

Michelle’s research interests include functional fitness, healthy aging, and the use of yoga and mindfulness strategies to support the needs of caregivers of older adults.
